Iris M. Reuther studied architecture at the Würzburg UAS, the University of Stuttgart and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. She also holds a degree as an expert for damage to buildings from the HTWG Konstanz and a doctorate in technical sciences from the Graz University of Technology.

She gained most of her 25-years-experience in the construction management of healthcare projects. She has been Professor of Building Construction at Jade UAS in Oldenburg since 2022. Her research interests lie in the areas of construction in existing buildings, the building envelope and construction management.
